From February 19 to 21, the largest event was held in the MTS Live Hall congress center in Ekaterinburg to discuss trends and challenges in information security in the financial sector.

The forum was attended by leading experts from the Bank of Russia, as well as representatives of various financial organizations and IT companies. In total, the event was attended by more than 1,500 specialists. The main focus of the Urals Forum was on cyber fraud, as well as improving the market’s ability to withstand cyber attacks in times of import substitution and the search for competent cybersecurity specialists.

Andrey Bloschetsov, CEO of Right line, was a guest speaker at the session “Protection 360: all facets of security”. The session was moderated by Alla Bakina, Director of the National Payment System Department of the Bank of Russia. During the discussion, the speakers touched upon such important topics as: challenges and technologies in the field of payment security in the coming years, as well as maintaining a balance between customer convenience and information security.

This was reflected both in the exhibition itself and in the speeches. The Governor of the Bank of Russia emphasized the need to consolidate all market participants in this area, as “the level of financial fraud that is currently taking shape is intolerable”. At the session “Protection 360: all facets of security” we talked about information security and usability, the Digital Ruble and biometrics, as well as about the challenges we face now and what awaits us in the future. It was interesting to hear the views of representatives of financial organizations on these topics, as well as comments from a representative of the Bank of Russia”.

This year Ekaterinburg has become the center of discussion of information security issues in the financial sector for the third time. The Urals Forum is the leading event on security and technological independence of the financial industry in Russia.
