Open APIs, the digital ruble, and bio‑acquiring: what was discussed at the 17th PLAS Forum in Moscow
On September 8–9, Moscow hosted the 17th International PLUS Forum “Payment Business and Monetary Circulation 2026” — one of the largest professional platforms for the banking and financial markets. This year, the forum brought together more than 3,000 participants, 120+ speakers, representatives of banks, payment systems, fintech companies, retailers, regulators, and suppliers of technological solutions.
Right line acted as a partner of the event and presented its solutions at the forum’s exhibition area. For the company’s team, this became an opportunity not only to share their own experience in developing software solutions for the financial market but also to discuss with industry representatives which technologies are already moving from the experimental stage to real banking projects.

From open APIs to the digital ruble
One of the notable topics in the business program was the development of open APIs and open banking. The discussion went far beyond the technology itself: participants talked about standardizing payment interfaces, data exchange, multi‑banking, Banking‑as‑a‑Service, and new models of interaction between banks and technology companies. Special attention was paid to how open APIs are changing the customer journey and becoming the foundation for building financial ecosystems.
The digital ruble also became an equally important area of focus. The focus was no longer on the mere fact of the new form of money appearing on September 1, but on the next stage — the practical application of the technology, loyalty, and the development of real customer scenarios.
It was this transition from concept to practice that became one of the key motives of the forum. The digital ruble, SBP, new payment instruments, and other technological solutions were discussed from the perspective of how they would work within the existing financial infrastructure and what changes would be required from banks and technological platforms.
A forum where you can see technologies in action
Alongside the business program, an exhibition area operated in the hall — effectively a second stage of the forum. Here, technologies could be seen in action: participants got acquainted with software and hardware solutions, discussed specific tasks with developers and suppliers, and immediately moved from general conversations to substantive dialogue.

The exhibition featured solutions for payment infrastructure, banking and trading equipment, e‑commerce, security, and other segments of the financial market. Right line was among the participants in the exhibition section of the forum.
It was the exhibition venue that made it possible to see an important feature of the modern fintech market: today, the professional community is increasingly less interested in technologies “in a vacuum.” Issues of integration, compatibility, security, compliance with market requirements, and, most importantly, the ability to use a solution in a specific business scenario are coming to the fore.

From discussing trends to addressing work‑related tasks
The forum’s program also featured topics such as artificial intelligence and AI‑native approaches, cybersecurity and anti‑fraud, cryptocurrencies and Web3, cross‑border payments, e‑commerce, and the development of payment infrastructure. Separate sessions were devoted to how customer scenarios are changing and which technologies will shape the development of the financial market in the coming years.

For banks, this means the need to simultaneously develop infrastructure, ensure its security and compliance with new requirements, integrate new payment instruments, and at the same time maintain the convenience of customer services. For technology companies, it means creating solutions that can seamlessly integrate into this infrastructure and scale along with business needs.
For Right Line, this practical aspect turned out to be one of the main outcomes of participating in the forum. Meetings with representatives of the banking and financial markets made it possible to discuss the real challenges of digital transformation, the prospects for the development of payment technologies, and the possibilities for using domestic software.
«Participation in the PLUS Forum allowed Right line not only to present its solutions but also to gain an understanding of the current trends in the financial market directly from its participants.
In particular, an interesting observation from the business program was that in the regions, the level of awareness and use of biometric payments is today in some cases higher than in Moscow. Such data clearly shows how differently new payment technologies can spread depending on the specifics of the region and the customer audience.
Special attention was paid during the discussions to the development of QR payments. Among the promising areas, the participants highlighted Customer Presented QR — a scenario in which the QR code for making a payment is generated and presented directlyOverall, the forum’s business program provided an opportunity to compare various assessments of the industry’s development and to see which technologies are already moving into practical application», the Right line team comments.Line team comments.

The PLUS Forum demonstrated that banking technologies are quickly being implemented in reality, transformed, and becoming part of the financial infrastructure. And the next stage of market development will be determined not only by the emergence of new technologies, but also by how effectively they can work together — within a single digital ecosystem.
